How to Configure Push Notification Preferences
Control which push notifications you receive from Midas including trade confirmations, security alerts, and promotions.
Notification settings split into three kinds: trading, security and promotional. Turning all of it off is a mistake — security notices are how you learn about a sign-in that was not you, and they are the difference between noticing an intrusion in a minute and noticing it in a week. Turn off the promotional stream instead and keep the two that carry information. There is a second gate above these settings: the operating system decides whether the app may notify you at all, and no in-app switch overrides it. If notifications have gone quiet after a phone upgrade, that outer permission is almost always the reason rather than the preferences below.
Before you start
- Notifications permitted at the operating-system level, which is separate from the in-app settings.
Open Notification Settings
Navigate to Profile > Notification Preferences. This screen organizes notifications by category, allowing you to enable or disable each type individually.
Configure Trading Notifications
Toggle notifications for order fills, order cancellations and position updates. These keep you informed about your trading activity without needing to check the app constantly. Margin calls and liquidation warnings cannot be switched off.
Configure Security Notifications
Security notifications cover: new logins, withdrawal confirmations, security setting changes, and suspicious activity alerts. It is strongly recommended to keep all security notifications enabled for maximum account protection.
Configure Promotional and System Notifications
Choose whether to receive notifications about: new features, promotions, competitions, and system maintenance. These are optional but can help you stay informed about opportunities and platform updates.
If something goes wrong
- Nothing arrives despite everything being enabled in the app.
- The system permission is the gate. Check it in the phone's own settings for the Midas app, including Focus or Do Not Disturb schedules.
- Too many notifications.
- Turn off promotional and system categories first, and keep trading and security. That usually cuts the volume without losing anything you need.
- Alerts arrive on one device but not another.
- Preferences follow the account, permission follows the device. A phone that was never granted notification permission stays silent while a tablet on the same account alerts normally — check the system settings on the quiet device.
- Notifications stopped after reinstalling the app.
- A reinstall asks for permission again, and dismissing that prompt denies it. Re-enable it in the system settings for Midas rather than looking for a switch in the app.

- Some are mandatory, and that is deliberate — they are the alerting mechanism for account compromise.
- Do settings sync across devices?
- Preferences are per account; the operating-system permission is per device. Both have to allow it.
- What about order fills?
- They sit under trading notifications, where you can keep fills and drop the rest. Traders who leave limit orders resting usually keep fills on and turn the rest of that category off.
- Will notifications wake me at night?
- They respect the device's own quiet hours or Focus schedule. For price alerts overnight and nothing else, set the schedule on the phone and keep the categories narrow.
- Which categories are worth keeping if I want as few as possible?
- Security always, because it is the alerting mechanism for account compromise. Then order fills if you leave orders resting, and price alerts if you rely on them. Everything else can go.
