How to Create Your First DCA (Dollar-Cost Averaging) Bot
Automate regular purchases of a cryptocurrency at fixed intervals to reduce the impact of volatility on your average entry price.
Open the Bot Trading Section
Navigate to Products > Trading Bots. The bots dashboard shows an overview of bot types available: DCA, Grid, Rebalance, TWAP, Arbitrage, and Trailing. Tap 'Create Bot' and select 'DCA' to start.
Select the Trading Pair and Market
Choose the asset you want to accumulate (e.g., BTC/USDT) and the market type (Spot or Margin). DCA is most commonly used on Spot markets to build a long-term position without timing the market.
Configure DCA Parameters
Set your purchase frequency (hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly), the amount per purchase, and optionally a price range. You can also set a total investment cap. For example: buy $50 of BTC every day for 90 days.
Set Optional Conditions
Add optional conditions like 'Only buy if price is below $X' or 'Pause if 24-hour change exceeds X%'. These conditions help you avoid buying during extreme pumps while maintaining the discipline of regular investment.
Launch the Bot
Review your configuration and tap 'Start Bot'. The bot will execute purchases according to your schedule automatically. You can monitor its performance, average entry price, and total invested from the bot detail page.
Monitor and Adjust
View your bot's performance from Bots > My Bots. The dashboard shows each execution, running average price, unrealized P&L, and next scheduled purchase. You can pause, edit parameters, or stop the bot at any time.
