How to Set Up a Grid Trading Bot
Profit from market volatility by placing a grid of buy and sell orders at predefined price intervals within a range.
Create a New Grid Bot
Navigate to Trading Bots > Create Bot > Grid. Select your trading pair. Grid bots work best on pairs with consistent price oscillation within a range, making sideways or moderately volatile markets ideal.
Define the Price Range
Set the upper and lower price boundaries for your grid. The bot will only operate within this range. You can use the AI recommendation feature to get suggested ranges based on recent price history and volatility analysis.
Set the Number of Grid Levels
Choose how many grid levels to create (e.g., 10, 20, 50). More levels mean smaller profit per trade but more frequent execution. Fewer levels mean larger gaps between orders but more profit per fill. The platform shows the calculated profit per grid based on your settings.
Choose Arithmetic or Geometric Grid
Arithmetic grids have equal price spacing between levels (e.g., every $100). Geometric grids have equal percentage spacing (e.g., every 1%). Geometric grids are generally better for assets with wide price ranges.
Review and Launch
Review the grid visualization showing all planned buy and sell levels, required investment, estimated profit per grid, and total required margin. The initial investment is divided among the grid levels. Tap 'Start Grid Bot' to begin.
Monitor Grid Performance
The bot detail page shows: active orders on the grid, completed trades, total grid profit, current unrealized profit on held positions, and a visual grid chart. You can adjust the range or stop the bot if market conditions change significantly.
