How to Transfer Between Spot, Futures, and Earn Wallets
Move assets between your different Midas wallet types instantly and fee-free for trading, staking, and derivatives.
Spot, futures and earn balances are separate ledgers inside the same account, and moving value between them is an internal transfer: instant, no chain, no network fee. Getting the direction right matters more than the amount — a margin call is not the moment to discover your collateral is sitting in the wrong wallet.
Before you start
- A balance in the wallet you are transferring from.
- An idea of what the destination wallet requires — futures needs collateral in the right asset, earn products have their own accepted assets.
Open the Transfer Screen
Navigate to Wallets > Transfer. This screen allows you to move assets between your internal wallets: Spot, Futures, Margin, Earn, and Options. Internal transfers are instant and completely fee-free.
Select From and To Wallets
Choose the source wallet (e.g., Spot) and the destination wallet (e.g., Futures). Only wallet types relevant to the selected asset will be shown. For instance, USDT can be transferred to any wallet, while some tokens may only be available in certain wallet types.
Enter the Transfer Amount
Type the amount to transfer. You can also tap 'Max' to transfer your entire available balance. The available balance shown accounts for any funds locked in open orders or active positions that cannot be transferred.
Confirm the Transfer
Review the source, destination, asset, and amount, then tap 'Transfer'. The funds are moved instantly. You will see the updated balances reflected in both wallets immediately. No blockchain transaction is needed because this is an internal ledger operation.
If something goes wrong
- The asset does not appear in the transfer list.
- Not every asset is accepted by every wallet. Futures collateral and earn products each take a defined set; if it is missing, convert first, then transfer.
- The transfer is blocked while you hold an open position.
- Collateral backing an open position cannot leave the futures wallet. Reduce or close the position, or transfer only the free margin shown as available.
- The balance arrived but the trading screen still shows zero.
- The screen may be on a different wallet than the one you transferred into. Check the wallet selector before transferring again — a second transfer is the common reflex and the wrong one.
Frequently asked questions
- Do internal transfers cost anything?
- No. Nothing touches a blockchain, so there is no network fee and no confirmation wait.
- How fast are they?
- Effectively instant. If a balance looks unchanged, refresh the wallet view before transferring again — sending twice is the common self-inflicted error here.
- Can I transfer to another user?
- This screen moves value between your own wallets. Sending to somebody else is a withdrawal or a P2P trade, both of which have their own flow and their own checks.
- Is there a limit on internal transfers?
- They are limited by your available balance rather than by a transfer cap, and collateral backing open positions is not available.
