How to Use Spot Trading Charts and Technical Indicators
Analyze price action with candlestick charts, timeframes, and popular technical indicators available on Midas.
Open the Chart View
From the trading screen, tap the chart area to expand it to full screen, or navigate to Markets > select a pair > Chart. The chart defaults to a candlestick view with a one-hour timeframe.
Choose a Timeframe
Select from available timeframes: 1m, 5m, 15m, 1h, 4h, 1D, 1W, and 1M. Shorter timeframes are useful for day trading and scalping, while longer timeframes help identify broader trends and key support/resistance levels.
Read Candlestick Patterns
Each candlestick represents price action over the selected timeframe. The body shows the open and close prices. Green candles close higher than they opened (bullish). Red candles close lower (bearish). The wicks (thin lines above and below the body) show the high and low prices reached during that period.
Add Technical Indicators
Tap the indicators button to add overlays and oscillators. Popular options include Moving Averages (MA/EMA) for trend direction, RSI for overbought/oversold conditions, MACD for momentum shifts, and Bollinger Bands for volatility ranges. You can add multiple indicators simultaneously.
Draw Trendlines and Annotations
Use the drawing tools to plot horizontal support/resistance lines, diagonal trendlines, and Fibonacci retracement levels directly on the chart. These visual aids help you identify key price zones and plan your entry and exit points. Your drawings are saved automatically across sessions.
