How to Create Your Midas Account
Set up your Midas account in minutes using email-based magic link authentication. No passwords required.
Midas has no signup password. You give an email address, click a link sent to it, and the account exists. That removes the two things that go wrong most often on an exchange signup — a weak password, and a reused one — but it makes the mailbox itself the key to the account, so pick an address you will still control in five years and secure that mailbox first. Before you start
- An email address you control and can open on the device you are signing up from.
- A device that can open links — the magic link has to be opened on a device where you will use the account.
- Nothing else. There is no password to choose and no document to upload at this stage.
Open the Midas App or Website
Download the Midas app from the App Store, Google Play, or your desktop platform. Alternatively, visit midas.exchange in your browser. Tap or click 'Create Account' on the welcome screen to begin registration.
Enter Your Email Address
Type in a valid email address you have access to. Midas uses a passwordless magic link system, so there is no password to create or remember. Your email serves as your primary identifier and login credential.
Check Your Inbox for the Magic Link
Midas will send a secure magic link to the email you provided. Open the email and tap the 'Verify & Sign In' button. The link is valid for a limited time, so complete this step promptly. Check your spam folder if you do not see it within a minute.
Complete Your Profile
After verification, you will be prompted to set your display name and preferred currency. You can also connect a Google or Apple account for faster sign-in on future visits.
Explore Your Dashboard
Your account is now active. You will land on the home dashboard where you can view market prices, access your wallets, and begin exploring Midas features. To unlock full trading and withdrawal capabilities, proceed to complete KYC identity verification from the Settings menu.
If something goes wrong
- The magic link email has not arrived.
- Give it a minute, then check the spam or promotions folder. If it is still missing, request a new link rather than waiting — each request invalidates the previous one, so only the newest email works. Corporate mail filters are the usual culprit; a personal address will normally go through.
- The link says it has expired.
- Magic links are short-lived on purpose. Request another and open it promptly. If you requested several links in a row, only the last one is valid — go back to the newest email rather than the first.
- The link opens the website when you wanted the app.
- Open the link on a phone that has the Midas app installed and it will hand off to the app. If it lands in the browser anyway, sign in there once, then sign in on the app with the same address — the account is the same either way.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I change the email address on my account later?
- Yes, from Profile settings, and the change is confirmed from both the old and the new address. Because the address is also your login, treat it as a security-sensitive change and do it from a device you trust.
- What happens if I lose access to my email?
- You lose the ordinary way of signing in, which is why a passkey or an authenticator app is worth adding as soon as the account exists. Recovery without either is a support process and it is slow by design, because the alternative would be a way for somebody else to take the account.
- Do I have to verify my identity to open an account?
- No. An unverified account can browse markets and hold a balance. Withdrawals, P2P and the fiat gateway need identity verification, so most people complete it before funding anything.
- Is signing in with Google or Apple different from the magic link?
- It is the same account, reached a different way. Linking Google or Apple saves the trip to your inbox on later sign-ins; the email address on the account stays the identifier underneath.
