How to Make Your First Crypto Deposit
Fund your Midas wallet by depositing cryptocurrency from an external wallet or another exchange. Supports 14 blockchain networks.
A crypto deposit is unforgiving in one specific way: the address and the network have to match what you are sending, and a transfer sent on the wrong network does not bounce back on its own. Everything else about the flow is routine. Read the network selector carefully, send a small amount first if the sum matters to you, and confirm it has arrived before sending the rest.
Before you start
- A funded external wallet or an account on another exchange to send from.
- The same asset available on both sides, and a network both sides support.
- Identity verification completed if you intend to withdraw again later — depositing does not require it, withdrawing does.
Open Your Wallet
Navigate to the Wallets tab from the bottom navigation bar. You will see an overview of all your wallets and current balances. Tap 'Deposit' to start the deposit flow.
Select the Asset and Network
Choose the cryptocurrency you want to deposit, such as BTC, ETH, or USDT. Then select the blockchain network. For example, USDT is available on Ethereum (ERC-20), Tron (TRC-20), Polygon, Arbitrum, and more. Always ensure the network matches the one you are sending from.
Copy Your Deposit Address
Midas will generate a unique deposit address for the selected asset and network. Tap 'Copy Address' to copy it to your clipboard, or use the QR code for scanning. Double-check that the address and network are correct before proceeding.
Send from Your External Wallet
Open your external wallet or the exchange you are sending from. Paste the Midas deposit address, confirm the network, enter the amount, and submit the transaction. Some networks require a memo or tag in addition to the address.
Wait for Confirmation
Deposits require a certain number of blockchain confirmations before they are credited. Bitcoin typically takes 2 confirmations (about 20 minutes), while networks like Tron or Solana credit within seconds. Track the status in your transaction history under Wallets > History.
If something goes wrong
- The deposit has not appeared after several minutes.
- Find the transaction hash in the sending wallet and check it on the network's explorer. If it is still unconfirmed, the wait is the network's, not the exchange's. Credits happen after a set number of confirmations, which differs by asset.
- You sent on the wrong network.
- Stop and contact support with the transaction hash before sending anything else. Recovery is sometimes possible and never guaranteed, and it always depends on the hash — which is why sending a small test amount first is worth the extra minute.
- The deposit address looks different from last time.
- That is normal for some assets, where a fresh address is issued per deposit. Always copy the address from the app at the moment of sending rather than reusing one saved in a notes app.
- You forgot the memo or tag.
- Some chains identify the destination account by a memo or destination tag alongside the address. A transfer without it lands in a shared wallet and has to be traced manually — raise it with support with the hash in hand.

- How long does a deposit take to credit?
- It depends entirely on the network and its confirmation requirement, from under a minute on fast chains to considerably longer on Bitcoin during congestion. The app shows the confirmation count as it climbs.
- Does Midas charge for deposits?
- The network fee is charged by the chain and paid by the sending wallet. Check the fee schedule for anything Midas applies on top for the specific asset.
- Can I deposit from an exchange rather than a wallet?
- Yes. Use the Midas deposit address as the withdrawal destination there, and make sure the network selected on both sides is the same one — that is where most mistakes happen.
- Is there a minimum deposit?
- Most assets have one, shown on the deposit screen for that asset. Sending less than the minimum can leave the amount uncredited, so read the figure before sending a test transfer.
