How to Handle P2P Disputes and Appeals
Resolve conflicts with your trading counterparty through the Midas dispute resolution system with evidence submission.
When to Open a Dispute
Open a dispute when you and your counterparty cannot agree on the order status. Common reasons include: you paid but the seller has not released crypto, the buyer claims to have paid but you have not received funds, or the payment amount is incorrect.
File the Dispute
Go to the order details page and tap 'Open Dispute'. Select the reason for the dispute and provide a detailed description of the issue. Be specific and factual in your explanation.
Submit Evidence
Upload supporting evidence such as payment screenshots, bank transaction confirmations, chat history, or any other relevant documentation. Clear, timestamped evidence significantly strengthens your case. You can upload multiple files including images and PDFs.
Wait for Resolution
The Midas support team will review the evidence from both parties. Both you and your counterparty can communicate through the dispute chat. You may be asked to provide additional evidence. Resolution typically takes 24-48 hours depending on complexity.
Escalate if Necessary
If you are not satisfied with the initial resolution, you can escalate the dispute for senior review. Provide any additional evidence or context that was not included in the original filing. Always maintain professional and respectful communication throughout the process.
